The best time to visit the Church and Shrine is during or shortly after Mass (Sundays at 8 am, Wednesdays at 9 am), however you can also visit the gift shop next door and request access to the church.
The building is a beautiful Gothic Revival Church that was built in the mid-1800s.

The Hall of Fame is arguably one of the most popular attractions in this area, many of our guests most likely planned their visit around visiting he HOF.
While visiting the HOF is worthwhile, they are also starting to build up the area surrounding the building. So now there are many restaurants and shops to visit in the vicinity.
Northeast Ohio is home to several bustling communities of Amish and Mennonites. The communities are known for their workmanship, crafts, and minimalistic (mostly as it pertains to modern conveniences) way of life.
Their food is delicious and the drive through those communities is worth it for the breathtaking scenery.
The McKinley Museum features both permanent and temporary (traveling) exhibits. Their "Street of Shops" and miniature railroad display were some of my favorite exhibits. However, they also feature a small hands-on children's museum and periodically have special events, including in their planetarium. The monument is also a sight to behold, and quite a feat to accomplish (walking up those large steps).
One of our personal favorites is Oak Ledges Disc Golf Course at Lincoln Park. However, Stark County offers a variety of unique courses.
Massillon's 4th Street NE offers a number of old homes in a variety of different styles. Once dubbed "Millionaire's Row" the homes are still well kept and a sight to behold. Our favorite is the Massillon Women's Club.
