Julie (Siller) Brand was born and raised in Chardon, Ohio, graduating from Chardon High School in 2005, where she was a Topperette and joined various educational clubs, including Envirothon.
She graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Architecture and later earned her Master’s of Business Administration at the same University. Throughout her life she developed a passion for history and the arts, namely architecture. During her undergraduate studies, she spent a semester in Florence and developed a love for historic preservation.
Julie's graduation from Architecture school was at the climax of the housing market crash, and due to lack of employment opportunities, decided to continue her education, earning an MBA. Through the program she was able to find gainful employment in the business world and ultimately ended up working for Verisk 3E for almost a decade.
